Grace Ma

Grace has been a counselor for over 30 years and has worked with over 400 clients. Most of the clients suffer emotional disturbances, poor marital or parent child relationship, They range from adolescents with suicidal ideation and social maladjustment, adults with depressive symptoms, anxiety disorder, traumatic experience, loss, obsessive behaviour, etc. 

 

Grace is a professional counselor in private practice.  She worked at various social service agencies, such as, Against Child Abuse, Hong Kong Family Welfare Society and Stewards Hong Kong. Grace’s experience ranged from counseling, clinical supervision to management.  She has worked with and helped people from all walks of life, having gained genuine and true understanding of their sufferings and needs.  Grace decided to continue her helping profession after her retirement to become a counselor. 

 

Grace is a qualified Emotion Focused Practitioner and she adopts this approach as her major strategy when working with clients through individual, couple or family therapy.  Grace believes in the natural potential in all humans to manage challenges.  She strongly believes in the power of empathy through which she has helped many to gain self confidence and pick themselves up for a brighter future.
